Party Catering Miami for Birthdays and Family Celebrations

Miami Plate Catering caters private parties in Miami and across South Florida from $45 per guest, with a minimum of 25 guests. Our team brings the food, serves it and cleans up our serving area, so you can spend the party with your guests. A coordinator sends your full quote within 24 hours.

  • Your place. Your backyard, home or venue in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, the Florida Keys and the Treasure Coast.
  • Price per guest. You see it before the service charge and sales tax, which get their own lines in your quote.
  • Leftovers. We pack them for you when you ask.
  • A person to call. A coordinator goes over the guest count, the venue and the menu with you by phone.
  • A clear start. You answer five questions: occasion, guest count, date, area and budget per guest.

Party catering fits birthdays, family celebrations and any private gathering that reaches 25 guests. Send your request today, and a coordinator replies within an hour during business hours. The quote lists the price per guest, the service charge, sales tax and the total, and you go over the menu with your coordinator before you pay a deposit.

Experience

Who Cooks and Serves Your Event

Our own team cooks and serves your event. We staff it by guest count, with about one team member for every 25 guests. The roles are a chef, an event coordinator, cooks and servers. The company has 10+ years in catering.

How we cook

  • In our kitchen. We prepare the food in our licensed commercial kitchen in Aventura and deliver it in our own vehicles, from office lunches to yacht platters.
  • On site. For grill and paella menus we finish the food at your venue using our own professional equipment.
  • In your kitchen. For a private chef dinner, your chef cooks and serves in your kitchen, and groceries are included in the price.

Party Catering Prices in Miami by Guest Count

Party menus start at $45 per guest with a minimum of 25 guests. Parties up to 50 guests pay $10 more per guest, larger ones pay less, and the service charge percentage steps down as the guest count grows. Your quote shows every line before you pay a deposit.

Larger events get $2 off per guest at each step of 100, 200 and 300+ guests. Example: 50 guests × $45 = $2,250 before the $10 per guest added to events up to 50 guests, the 18% service charge and sales tax.

  • Service time. Four hours are included, and each extra hour is $5 per guest.
  • Sales tax. Florida's 6% plus your county surtax of 0.5% to 1.5%, on its own line.
  • Gratuity. Optional and never added automatically.
  • Delivery. It depends on your address and is shown in your quote.
  • Holiday season. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day, the minimum doubles.

The service charge is mandatory for events with our staff on site. It covers staffing, setup and breakdown, and kitchen operations, and it is not a tip.

Plan Your Party Catering Around Food, Setup and Timing

A good party plan answers five questions early: how much food, who sets up, how long guests stay, what they can eat and when to book. Here is how each one works with our team.

How much food

We prepare 10% more food than your guest count, at no extra charge. Your coordinator plans portions with you when you choose the menu, and you can tell us within 24 hours if anything was not right.

Setup and rentals

We set up the serving area. Guest tables, chairs, linens and glassware come through our rental partners and appear as their own line in your quote.

Party hours

Four hours of service are included, so plan arrival, eating and cake inside that window. If the party runs longer, add hours at $5 per guest.

Dietary needs

A fully vegan menu is available, and vegan dishes appear in our other menus. Kosher-style dishes are possible. Not certified kosher and not prepared under rabbinical supervision.

When to book

Private parties usually book 2 to 3 weeks ahead. Send your date and guest count first, and the quote follows within 24 hours.

Party Catering Questions Before You Book

How much does party catering cost in Miami?

Party menus start at $45 per guest with a 25-guest minimum, before the service charge and sales tax. The table above shows how guest count changes the rest, and all of our prices by event are on one catering prices page.

How much does it cost to feed 50 people at a party?

The base is 50 × $45 = $2,250. Events up to 50 guests add $10 per guest, then the 18% service charge and sales tax go on their own lines. Your quote shows the exact total for the menu you choose.

What is the minimum number of guests for party catering?

The minimum is 25 guests. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day the minimum doubles, and your coordinator confirms it for your date. Holiday dinners have their own page: holiday catering in Miami.

Is gratuity included in the catering price?

No. Gratuity is optional and never added automatically. The service charge is a separate, mandatory line for events with our staff, and it is not a tip.

Will there be enough food for my party?

We prepare 10% more food than your guest count at no extra charge, and your coordinator plans portions with you. The planning cards above explain how the rest of the day works.

How far ahead should I book party catering?

Private parties usually book 2 to 3 weeks ahead. The quote takes 24 hours, so a date and a guest count are enough to begin.

What if my party is a wedding or a food truck event?

Each has its own page with its own prices: wedding catering in Miami and food truck catering in Miami.
