Food Truck Catering Miami for Backyard Parties and Private Events

Miami Plate Catering offers food truck service for your event in Miami and across South Florida, priced per guest from $60 with a minimum of 25 guests. Your coordinator sends a full quote within 24 hours, so you see the total before you pay a deposit.

  • Per guest, not per day. You pay for the guests you feed, and the price per guest is the first line of your quote.
  • Your place. Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, the Florida Keys and the Treasure Coast.
  • Your occasion. Birthdays, family parties and company events that reach 25 guests.
  • Extra food. We prepare 10% more than your guest count, at no extra charge.
  • Holiday season. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day, the minimum doubles.

Answer five questions: occasion, guest count, date, area and budget per guest. A coordinator replies within an hour during business hours and walks through the details with you before the quote is final.

How it works

How Catering Works, From Your Request to Event Day

  1. 1

    Answer five questions

Tell us the occasion, guest count, date, area and budget per guest. Prefer to talk? Call, email or message us on WhatsApp.

  2. 2

Get your quote in 24 hours

A coordinator calls about guests, venue and menu. Your quote lists the price per guest, the service charge and what it covers, sales tax and the total.

  3. 3

    Approve and book

You review the menu and the quote, then sign and pay the deposit. Tasting terms are below.

  4. 4

    Confirm the final count

Menu and count are due 10 business days before the event. After that the count can only go up.

  5. 5

    Event day and after

We set up, serve and clean our area, and pack leftovers on request. Tell us within 24 hours if anything was not right and we make it right with a credit, remake or refund.

Settle These Four Details Before You Request Food Truck Service

With these four details in hand, your quote arrives within 24 hours. A coordinator replies within an hour during business hours to confirm them.

  1. Pick your date. Private events usually book 2 to 3 weeks ahead and company events 4 to 8 weeks. Send the date first, even if the menu is still open.
  2. Give the address. Delivery depends on it, and your county sets the surtax on your sales tax, so the address decides two lines of your quote.
  3. Set a budget per guest. Food truck service starts at $60, and the service charge and tax come on top. Tell your coordinator your budget per guest, and the quote shows where it lands.
  4. Count your guests. The minimum is 25. The count you send is the one your coordinator quotes.

Food Truck Catering Questions Before You Book

How much does food truck catering cost per person in Miami?

Food truck service starts at $60 per guest with a 25-guest minimum, before the service charge and sales tax. The table above lists each line, and delivery is shown in your quote.

What is the minimum for food truck catering?

The minimum is 25 guests. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day it doubles, and your quote confirms the number for your date.

How do I book food truck service for my event in Miami?

Answer five questions: occasion, guest count, date, area and budget per guest. A coordinator then sends a full quote within 24 hours.

Are tax and the service charge included in food truck prices?

No. Both are separate lines in your quote. Florida's 6% sales tax plus your county surtax applies, and the service charge is mandatory for events with our staff, covers staffing, setup and breakdown, and kitchen operations, and is not a tip.

Is a tip included in food truck catering?

No. Gratuity is optional and is never added automatically. The service charge on your quote is a separate line for the team and the kitchen, and it is not a tip, so you decide on any tip yourself.

How far ahead should I book food truck service?

Private events usually book 2 to 3 weeks ahead and company events 4 to 8 weeks. The quote takes 24 hours, so a date and guest count are enough to start.

Will there be enough food for my guests?

We prepare 10% more food than your guest count at no extra charge, and you can report a problem within 24 hours.

What other formats do you offer besides food truck catering?

Party catering with staff has its own page, party catering in Miami, and so does BBQ catering in Miami.
