Miami Plate Catering plans Italian catering for events in Miami and across South Florida. You tell us the date, guest count, area and the dishes you have in mind, such as pasta, lasagna or chicken parmesan. A coordinator builds the menu around your guests and budget, and your quote confirms what is on it.
Our Italian catering services suit birthdays, family dinners, company lunches and any party that reaches the minimum. Answer five questions to start: occasion, guest count, date, area and budget per guest. A coordinator replies within an hour during business hours.
How it works
Tell us the occasion, guest count, date, area and budget per guest. Prefer to talk? Call, email or message us on WhatsApp.
A coordinator calls about guests, venue and menu. Your quote lists the price per guest, the service charge and what it covers, sales tax and the total.
You review the menu and the quote, then sign and pay the deposit. Tasting terms are below.
Menu and count are due 10 business days before the event. After that the count can only go up.
We set up, serve and clean our area, and pack leftovers on request. Tell us within 24 hours if anything was not right and we make it right with a credit, remake or refund.
You steer the menu. Tell us the kind of Italian food you picture, and your coordinator turns it into a menu for your guest count, area and budget. Nothing is final until your quote confirms the dishes, so ask for what you have in mind.
Ask for pasta in the sauces your guests like, or a baked dish such as lasagna. Tell us how many guests are coming, and your coordinator sets the portions with you.
Chicken parmesan is one example, and you can name another main you have in mind.
Add a salad, bread or a side if you want them on the table. Your coordinator confirms the dishes in the quote.
Want tiramisu or another dessert to finish the meal? Tell us in your request. For a full dessert spread, see our dessert catering in Miami page.
Say it in your request, and the quote lists the final dishes.
Your quote lists the dishes, the price per guest and every charge, so you approve a written menu before you pay a deposit. The deposit is 50% after approval, or 30% if you book six or more months ahead.
Booking terms
These are the terms we put in your contract, in plain words.
50% after you approve the menu and quote, or 30% when you book 6+ months ahead. Your contract price does not change before the event. Pay by card, Zelle, ACH, check or cash; 4% off without a card.
Due 10 business days before the event, 48 hours for office and yacht orders. You can reduce the count by up to 10% of the contract.
7+ days before: event credit with no expiry or a refund minus 30%. Less than 7 days: no refund. Drop-off orders: full refund up to 24 hours before delivery. If we have to cancel, we refund your deposit within 10 days and, less than 30 days out, help find a replacement and pay the price difference.
It’s Florida. We bring a tent or switch to a covered format, quoted in advance.
Free for booked weddings and events of 100+ guests. Before booking, a tasting is $100, credited to your order if you book within 14 days.

Our full-service party and buffet menus start at $45 per guest, with a 25-guest minimum. The price of your Italian menu is confirmed in your quote once the dishes are chosen. The rules below apply to every full-service event, so you know what your quote will include.
| Charge | How it works |
|---|---|
| Menu price | $45 per guest and up for full-service menus; Italian menu confirmed once dishes are chosen |
| Smaller events | Up to 50 guests, add $10 per guest |
| Service time | 4 hours included, each extra hour $5 per guest |
| Service charge | 18% up to 100 guests, 15% for 101 to 200, 12% for 201 to 300, 10% above 300, shown as a separate line |
| Sales tax | Florida sales tax (6%) plus county surtax of 0.5% to 1.5%, shown as a separate line |
| Gratuity | Optional, never added automatically |
| Delivery | Depends on your address and is shown in your quote |
| Thanksgiving through New Year's Day | The minimum doubles |
Example for a full-service menu: 50 guests × $45 = $2,250 before the service charge and sales tax. Your Italian menu is quoted on its own.
The service charge is mandatory for events with our staff on site. It covers staffing, setup and breakdown, and kitchen operations, and it is not a tip.
