Fort Lauderdale Catering for Work Lunches, Parties and Private Dinners

Miami Plate Catering, in business for 10+ years, caters work lunches, parties, weddings and private dinners in Fort Lauderdale and across Broward County. Office lunches start at $15 a guest with a 10-guest minimum. Full service with our own staff starts at $45 a guest with a 25-guest minimum. Prices are per guest (trays are priced per tray) and before sales tax. Events with staff also carry a service charge.

  • Corporate lunches and meetings. Individual portions arrive labeled, and we set out the food and clean up after ourselves. Delivery starts at 10 guests and is priced by your address in your quote.
  • Parties, celebrations and dinners at home. Our team is built around your event: about one team member for every 25 guests, with a chef, cooks and servers as the size requires. Four hours of service are included.
  • Weddings. Silver, Gold and Platinum packages cost $75, $95 and $125 a guest, for 50 guests or more.
  • Private chef dinners. A chef cooks for $100 to $300+ a guest, groceries included, starting at two guests.
  • Trays for any gathering. Platters run $65 to $95 a tray, with a two-tray minimum.
  • Boats and yachts. Trays or full service for a day on the water, ordered 48 hours ahead.

Vegan guests are covered: we offer a fully vegan menu and vegan dishes in our other menus. Planning starts with five questions about the occasion, guest count, date, area and your budget per guest.

Events with staff carry a mandatory service charge: 18% up to 100 guests, 15% for 101 to 200, 12% for 201 to 300 and 10% above 300. It covers staff, setup and breakdown and kitchen operations, and it is not a tip. Every full-service tier includes four hours of service, and each extra hour is $5 a guest. Broward sales tax is 7%, Florida's 6% plus the county's 1%. Tips are optional and never added automatically. How Far Ahead to Order Catering in Fort Lauderdale

The right lead time depends on the event: 24 hours for an office lunch, two to three weeks for a private dinner and six to twelve months for a wedding. Office and yacht orders also need the final guest count and payment 48 hours before the event.

  • Office lunches, 24 hours. The final count and payment are due 48 hours before.
  • Trays and yacht orders, 48 hours. A full-service day on the water follows the same tiers and prices as any other full-service event.
  • Private dinners and parties, 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Company events, 4 to 8 weeks. Share the date and guest count early, and your coordinator confirms the plan in the quote.
  • Weddings, 6 to 12 months. The busiest months run from October through May. For any event the deposit comes after you approve the menu and quote: 30% when you book 6+ months ahead, and 50% otherwise.
  • Holiday dates, ask early. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day the minimum doubles. See our holiday catering and Thanksgiving catering in Fort Lauderdale pages, and the wedding catering page for packages.
